• Marcelle Wellington - Prior to joining Hebert Research, Marcelle served as the executive director for the Kent (WA) Chamber of Commerce where she was responsible for leading the organization, the successful launch of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Puget Sound and the bi-annual South County Economic Engine Study.  Prior to Kent, Marcelle served as the chief executive at the Redmond (WA) Chamber and as senior vice president at the Grand Rapids (MI) Chamber.    Throughout her career, Marcelle has focused on ensuring a strong local economy through economic development efforts like adequate infrastructure and workforce development; advocacy on public policies effecting land use, taxation and the business climate; and business development for industries like manufacturing and tourism, and for entrepreneurs. She earned a certificate from the Institute for Organization Management at Notre Dame, and holds a bachelors degree from Grand Valley State University in Hospitality and Tourism Management.  Marcelle has served on a variety of non-profit boards including Association of Washington Business, Leadership Institute, Workforce Development Council of Seattle/King County, South Sound Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition, East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition, King County International Trade Development Council, ARCH-A Regional Coalition for Housing, and the Institute for Organization Management at Notre Dame.
