Hebert Research- Press Release

During a time when the majority of businesses are downsizing due to the recessionary economy, Hebert Research Inc. takes this time to add two additional research directorst.  While some businesses may feel some sort of pressure from the abundance of applicants applying for various positions, Jim Hebert, the President and CEO of Hebert Research, feels as though the quantity of applicants has allowed him to hire quality employees.

Added to the Hebert Research team are Gary Leatham, Ph.D.; Raechelle Turner.

Prior to joining Hebert Research as a Research Director, Dr. Leatham spent 4 years in marketing and sales developing specialty niche products sold online, wholesale to vendors and at trade shows, where he helped startups achieve leadership positions. With an early interest in biotechnology and the environment, Dr. Leatham previously worked in corporate environmental affairs management for Cargill biodegradable plastics and on international committees setting regulatory standards.  He has held senior research positions for new biotechnology startups interested in harnessing microbes and enzymes for bioremediation and conversion processes.  And he worked for a decade as an USDA Forest Service Scientist, at the Institute for Microbial & Biochemical Technology, where he received a USDA Superior Service Award for technology transfer.

Raechelle Turner became Hebert Research’s Director of Public Policy in the winter of 2008, after starting as a research analyst for three months. During her time at Hebert Research, Raechelle has worked on a wide array of topics including market share analysis, consumer policies, business and private banking analysis, economic research and more. As public policy director, Raechelle continues to work with local, county and state governments as well as candidates and elected officials on numerous policy issues, including healthcare, crime and safety, aerospace, education, transportation, parks and community development, and social justice causes. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Washington, where she also served as a resident advisor for two years. For the last five political seasons, Raechelle has been a political consultant and campaign manager for over 10 local, state and congressional candidates and initiatives, as well as served as a lobbyist for 2004 legislative session. Raechelle continues to serve on a variety of community boards, including on the advisory board for the NEW Leadership institute at the University of Washington and the Renton Business and Professional Women board.
